How to Grow in Hard Seasons
You keep praying for change.
For clarity.
For God to “fix” what feels broken inside you.
But what if God isn’t waiting to move…
what if He’s been waiting on you this entire time?
Not in a harsh, pressure-filled way…
but as an invitation.
Because growth doesn’t only happen to you.
It happens through you.
And maybe the season you feel stuck in…
is actually the place you’re meant to start blooming.
The Lie We Believe: “I’ll Change When God Changes Me”
I’ve been in those seasons where I tell myself I’m “waiting on God.”
Waiting on the moment.
Waiting on clarity.
Waiting for that “aha” breakthrough.
I sit back and wait for invitations that never come.
For situations to resolve that don’t.
For healing to just appear.
All while convincing myself that my waiting is aligned with God’s will.
And while I’m sitting there, doing nothing…
I tell myself I’m being faithful.
“But those who wait on the Lord…” — Isaiah 40:31
So I convince myself I’m honoring God by waiting.
That I’m doing the right thing.
But if I’m honest…
Sometimes it’s not faith.
Sometimes it’s fear.
Sometimes it’s avoidance.
Sometimes it’s comfort disguised as spirituality.
What “Waiting on God” Actually Means
Here’s what Scripture really says:
“But those who wait on the Lord
shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles,
they shall run and not be weary,
they shall walk and not faint.”
— Isaiah 40:31

Did you catch that?
They don’t just sit.
They run.
They walk.
They move.
Waiting on God isn’t about staying still and hoping something changes.
It’s about staying connected to Him while continuing to move forward.
Taking steps.
Even small ones.
Sometimes you’re walking.
Sometimes you’re running.
But you’re never meant to stay stuck.
What If God Is Waiting on You?
You might feel like you’re waiting on God…
But what if He’s waiting on you?
Waiting for you to take a step.
Waiting for you to choose differently.
Waiting for you to show up with even a little faith in action.
To have the conversation.
To reach out.
To start.
To try.
Not perfection.
Not having it all figured out.
Just movement.
Start Blooming Where You Are
Because if we keep waiting to feel ready…
waiting to feel changed…
waiting for everything to line up perfectly…
We miss the very place where growth actually begins.
Right here.
In the showing up.
In the small steps.
In the willingness to start.
You don’t need to be “fixed” to begin.
You just need to move.
And God will meet you there 🌿
